Founded in 1886,Shurdington Cricket Club is the archetypal village team set between the Pub and the Church and overlooking the Cotswold escarpment We run two League sides on a Saturday, the First X1 playing in the First Division of the Readers County League . There are also two Sunday teams playing friendly matches against local village sides and enjoying a trip to Somerset towards the end of the season .On Wednesday evenings the Club has two teams playing in the Gloucester Evening Limited Overs League .The Under 15 team play on Monday evenings and the Under 13s on Sunday mornings .Friday evenings are Club Nights (6.30-8) where all Members (over 9) can come and enjoy the first class facilities free of charge .
